Partner Marie Maurice was honored at the first annual Power, Leadership and Influence of the Black Woman event on March 22, 2019 at the California African American Museum. Marie was recognized for her civil rights contributions in the legal field.
The event, which recognized powerful and influential black women leaders who break down barriers and open doors for the African American community, featured an intimate conversation with Congresswoman Maxine Waters, moderated by CBS News Anchor Pat Harvey and CBS “The Talk” Host Sheryl Underwood, discussing issues facing black leaders today. The event was sponsored by Bakewell Media, Mothers In Action and the Los Angeles Sentinel.
