EXPERIENCE

Sherrye E. Scarlett is an established litigator primarily representing insurance companies in litigation and coverage matters.

 

Prior to her employment with Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs, Ms. Scarlett was an associate at a private law firm, served as a Deputy City Attorney in the Huntington Beach City Attorney’s office and worked as a Staff Attorney at the Merced Superior Court, preparing recommendations for rulings on the law and motion, criminal, juvenile, probate and family law calendars. She was also employed as an extern for the California Court of Appeals, District 2, Division 1, in Los Angeles.

 

Ms. Scarlett received her J.D. from Whittier College School of Law. While there, she served on the Executive Boards of the Black Law Students Association and the National Black Law Students Association. She also worked as a criminal law teaching assistant and as a research assistant helping first-year students prepare for exams.
