Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs continues to celebrate not only the day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States but we also use Juneteenth as an opportunity to recommit to each other as family, friends and co-workers. In 2020, IMWPD declared Juneteenth a firm wide holiday. Accordingly, Monday, June 20, 2022, IMWPD will be close in honor of Juneteenth. We ask that each and every employee take the time to reflect and renew the firm’s commitment to stand in solidarity with the oppressed. It is important that not just our employees, but all people, understand the significance of Juneteenth, what it meant 156 years ago, what it means today, and how we might take action to make tomorrow better for everyone.
