EXPERIENCE
Marina Samson is an associate attorney with Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs.  Her practice includes a wide range of state and federal court matters, with emphasis on and labor and employment, civil rights, business litigation, and white-collar crime. 

 

Ms. Samson regularly represents individuals and private and public entities in a wide range of labor and employment lawsuits in federal and state courts and arbitration forums and advises on employment-related matters. She is skilled in handling civil cases in State and Federal Courts from inception to successful resolution through all stages of litigation.  Ms. Samson is experienced in defending individuals and businesses through governmental investigations and prosecution, including but not limited to alleged fraudulent misconduct, money laundering, health care, and financial fraud.

 

Ms. Samson is skilled in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating company policies, and employee handbooks, and various corporate agreements. She is also skilled with conducting new-hire training seminars including sexual harassment prevention training and investigations into allegations of alleged workplace misconduct. She counsels healthcare businesses on compliance with federal and state regulations and governmental audit procedures.

 

Ms. Samson successfully litigated and settled Title VII cases involving federal employees in leadership and national security positions with the U.S. Attorney's office. She represented individuals in corporate litigations, shareholder disputes, civil rights violations, Title IX and Title VII labor and employment disputes in state and federal courts.

 

Ms. Samson has served as a judicial extern to the Honorable André Birotte for the U.S. District Court, Central District of California, and as a two-term full-time law clerk to the United States Attorney's Office, Criminal Division, where she was on numerous trial teams prosecuting Public Corruption, Health Care Fraud, Money Laundering, National Security, and RICO cases.
