Of Counsel Samuel E. Chilakos focuses his practice on corporate and commercial, real property disputes and transactional matters for clients in a variety of industries, including entertainment and real estate development.

Samuel joined Ivie, McNeill & Wyatt in 2009. He received his J.D. cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1996 and was admitted to the State Bar of California the same year.

Samuel earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with an option in accountancy. Upon graduating, he joined Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche), one of the “Big Four” international accounting firms, and became a certified public accountant in 1990.

Before joining Ivie, McNeill & Wyatt, Samuel spent time as the chief financial officer of a publicly held entity in the restaurant industry; the chief financial officer and general counsel of a high-profile record company; and the assistant controller for All American Communications, an entertainment conglomerate known for producing “Baywatch.” He also served as an expert witness on financial matters and testified in a licensing dispute case that resulted in an award of more than $8 million.
