BYRON MICHAEL PURCELL worked as a law clerk with Ivie, McNeill, & Wyatt before becoming an associate in 1995 and a partner in 2001.
In 1991, Mr. Purcell received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from USC. He was a Merit Scholar and the recipient of USC's Achievement Scholarship and Dean's Scholarship. That year he also became a fellow of the Counsel on Legal Educational Opportunity.
Mr. Purcell received his Juris Doctor from the University Of Texas School Of Law in 1994. He was a member of the Thurgood Marshall Legal Society and was the Regional Champion of the Frederick Douglas Moot Court competition (1993-1994).
Before joining Ivie, McNeill & Wyatt, Mr. Purcell clerked with the Federal Defender's of San Diego, Inc.
